Are you an experienced Unqualified Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a SEND Specialist School? A welcoming and supportive specialist setting in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Promote communication, confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Help create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is essential.
- Experience in a school, specialist setting, care, support work or youth work.
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
