Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist SEND school? Educo Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming specialist primary school in Hertfordshire to recruit a committed teacher for a maternity cover position. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.
The Role
- Planning and delivering personalised lessons.
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism and complex needs.
- Monitoring progress against individual learning objectives and EHCP targets.
- Promoting positive behaviour, communication and independence.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents and other professionals.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Primary teaching experience.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Confident adapting lessons to different abilities and learning styles.
- Patient, nurturing and resilient.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience in a specialist SEND setting is highly desirable, although candidates looking to develop their SEND experience are encouraged to apply.
