About the Role:
We are looking for Psychology graduates to join our specialist and mainstream schools as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is an invaluable opportunity for those considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, or Teaching, offering practical experience in a supportive and rewarding environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Helping to implement therapeutic strategies and interventions
Assisting students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Supporting classroom activities and ensuring an inclusive learning environment
Working closely with SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Therapists
Helping students build confidence, independence, and social skills
Ideal Candidate:
Psychology graduate (or related degree) with an interest in SEN and mental health
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and psychological interventions
Empathetic, patient, and adaptable to different learning styles
Strong communication and teamwork skills
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
