A specialist SEMH school and Alternative Provision in Wandsworth is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher / SEMH Teacher to join their team immediately. The school supports students with severe SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, Autism (ASC/ASD), ADHD, trauma‑related needs and complex behavioural difficulties. Many students have experienced barriers to mainstream education and require strong, consistent and therapeutic support.

This role is ideal for a resilient teacher with strong behaviour management who is confident working within PRU, SEMH or SEND settings.

The Role:

  • Teaching students with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and behavioural needs
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Managing challenging behaviour using restorative approaches
  • Supporting emotional regulation and student engagement
  • Working closely with pastoral teams, behaviour mentors and SLT
  • Creating a structured and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • QTS / QTLS / ECT
  • Experience within SEMH, PRU, AP or SEND schools
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • Experience supporting students with Autism and SEMH needs
  • Team Teach / MAPA training desirable
  • Resilient, calm and adaptable approach
