This position is to provide long-term sickness cover and offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a full-time role within a supportive secondary school environment.
The Role
- Teaching Business and Economics across the relevant secondary year groups
- Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
- Full planning and marking responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement
- Providing effective feedback to support student progress
- Working closely with colleagues within the department
- Taking an active role in the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Has strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics
- Has experience teaching within a secondary school
- Is confident taking full responsibility for planning, teaching and marking
- Has high expectations of students and behaviour
- Is organised, reliable and professional
- Can quickly establish positive relationships with students
- Holds QTS or has relevant teaching experience
