SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – Pinner
We are working with a SEN primary in Pinner that is looking for a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and engage positively within the school environment.
Requirements
- Previous UK-based experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
- Primary school experience is desirable.
- A patient, calm and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Confidence supporting individual learning and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support.
- Assist pupils with learning and development.
- Support individual education and behaviour plans.
- Encourage communication, confidence and independence.
- Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored activities.
- Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
