We are currently working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Muswell Hill that is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a varied and rewarding role, perfect for someone who enjoys working across different year groups and supporting a range of pupils with varying learning needs. Unlike a traditional 1:1 position, this role offers variety and flexibility. You will work across the school, supporting different classes, year groups and pupils as required, helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and ensuring children remain fully supported throughout the school day.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Working alongside class teachers to support learning and engagement
- Providing small-group and occasional 1:1 support
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD and speech & language difficulties
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
- Helping to promote positive behaviour and inclusion throughout the school
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, coaching or support role
- Positive, proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively across different age groups
- Passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
- Psychology graduates, aspiring teachers and experienced Teaching Assistants are all encouraged to apply
