We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Southwark. You will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with ASD and complex needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Support colleagues with personal care duties where required.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Follow school policies on Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and Health & Safety.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and related behavioural needs.
- Minimum of 3 months experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (or equivalent).
- A genuine commitment to working with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to remain calm and effective when managing challenging behaviour.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a patient and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of SEN students.
