Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with a specialism in Autism (ASD)? Do you thrive in environments where every child is supported, celebrated, and understood?
We are working with an Outstanding all-through SEN School in Hounslow that is seeking a dedicated Year 6 ASD Specialist Teacher to join their team from September. This is a maternity cover position with real potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching a Year 6 class of students with ASD, including both verbal and non-verbal pupils
- Creating a highly structured, visual, and engaging learning environment
- Using strategies including PECS, Makaton, and other communication supports
- Collaborating with a team of skilled TAs and therapists to deliver personalised learning
- Tracking pupil progress and contributing to EHCP reviews
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – UK recognised
- Extensive experience teaching pupils with ASD in a specialist or SEN setting
- Confident using PECS, Makaton, and other structured communication tools
- Deep understanding of sensory needs, behaviour support strategies, and individual learning styles
- UK Right to Work – sponsorship not available
