A specialist Autism (ASC/ASD) school in Bexley is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher / ASD Teacher to join their team immediately. The school supports students with Autism, communication needs, sensory processing difficulties and associated learning needs. Many students require structured, therapeutic and highly personalised support to access education successfully.
This role is ideal for an SEN Teacher with experience within Autism provisions, SEND schools or specialist education settings who is confident delivering differentiated lessons and supporting students with additional needs.
The Role- Teaching students with Autism (ASC/ASD) and SEND
- Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Working within small class sizes with strong TA support
- Using Autism-friendly and structured teaching approaches
- Working closely with therapists, SEN staff and SLT
- Creating a calm, safe and positive learning environment
- QTS / QTLS / ECT
- Experience working within SEND, SEN or ASD schools
- Strong understanding of Autism and communication needs
- Experience supporting sensory and behavioural needs desirable
- PECS / Makaton / Team Teach / MAPA experience desirable
