A supportive primary school located in Southwark is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 3 who has behavioural needs linked to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone patient, resilient and confident in supporting children with additional needs. You will be working one-to-one to help manage behaviour, support emotional regulation and promote engagement in learning.

Teaching Assistant – Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with ASD/Autism and behavioural challenges
  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience within a UK primary school
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Full availability Monday–Friday
  • A calm, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting pupils
Teaching Assistant – Role Overview
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ASD
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional support
