About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate, energetic and dedicated Sports-Based SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in East London from September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sports coaching, PE, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support or special educational needs who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
You will work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and associated learning difficulties, using sport, physical activity and positive relationships as tools to improve engagement, confidence, communication and emotional wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them access learning, regulate emotions and develop important social and life skills.
