We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter holidays. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Supporting a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Helping to manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

Requirements (ESSENTIAL):

  • Previous experience working with SEN or in a childcare/school setting
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Confident, proactive, and patient approach
  • Good level of spoken and written English

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in a school (primary or secondary)
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Psychology graduates or aspiring teachers/educational psychologists welcome
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
