A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Tottenham, Haringey is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and supporting children in reaching their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the classroom and contribute to a positive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils across the classroom on a whole-class, small group and occasional 1:1 basis
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Helping pupils remain engaged and make progress with their learning
  • Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and daily school routines

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience working within a school setting is desirable but not essential
  • A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
  • A relevant degree or experience in education, youth work, sports coaching or childcare is desirable
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
