Teaching Assistant – Primary SEND

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with SEND? Do you have a creative background and enjoy finding imaginative ways to engage and inspire pupils?
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary SEND school for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children and experience supporting pupils with SEND. You will work alongside teachers and experienced SEND staff to support pupils with their learning, development, communication, behaviour and wellbeing.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a creative background in areas such as art, drama, music, dance, theatre, performance, design or other creative disciplines. Your creativity, enthusiasm and ability to think outside the box could be a fantastic asset in the classroom.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with children in a school, education, childcare or similar setting
- Experienced supporting children with SEND or additional needs
- Patient, caring and confident building positive relationships with pupils
- Creative, enthusiastic and able to engage children in their learning
- Adaptable and able to support a range of individual needs
- Passionate about helping children develop their confidence, independence and skills
- A strong team player who can work effectively alongside teachers and SEND professionals
