Required: January 2027 (or sooner if available)
- Location: John Beddoes Campus, Newtown High School, Presteigne, Powys
- Salary: Teachers' Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
- Contract: Maternity Cover / Part-Time
- Reporting to: Head of Sci-Tech
- Responsible for: Teaching and learning within the Science Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE)
Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality science education that inspires, engages and challenges learners across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a particular strength in Biology. The successful candidate will teach Science to GCSE level, contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive curriculum in line with the Curriculum for Wales, and support Newtown High School's vision of Belong, Believe, Achieve (Perthyn, Credu, Llwyddo).
The post holder will promote excellent progress, wellbeing and achievement for all learners and contribute fully to the life of the school community.
