Come and join our team

Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is looking for an enthusiastic, practical and well-organised Technician to join our team and play an important role in supporting pupils' learning.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting our Food, Textiles, Design & Technology and Art departments. You'll work alongside teaching staff to prepare materials and resources, maintain equipment and help ensure our practical learning spaces are safe, organised and ready to inspire creativity.

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, has a positive and flexible approach, and takes pride in helping things run smoothly. Previous experience of working in a school is not essential, and this could be an excellent opportunity for someone with practical, technical, creative, catering or workshop experience looking for a new challenge.

If you're organised, hands‑on and would enjoy being part of a supportive school community, we'd love to hear from you.

All applicants will be asked about their nationality and whether they are legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom. This is to confirm whether you are eligible to apply for the vacancy and to work for the Council or its partner organisations.

Carmarthenshire County Council holds a valid sponsorship licence. However, applicants who require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route must meet all eligibility criteria set out by the UK Government under the points-based immigration system. Before submitting an application, you should check whether the role meets the eligibility criteria in the UK Government guidance: Skilled Worker visa: Overview - GOV.UK .
