Higher Level Teaching Assistant - St Alban's RC High School

Salary: £33,673 - £36,581 Pro Rata | Grade 6

Fixed term for 1 year

32.5 hours per week (8:30am - 3:30pm | Monday to Friday)

39 weeks per year - Term time only

We are seeking to appoint a compassionate, organised and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 4 to join our caring Christian community. This is a key role supporting pupils to achieve their full potential academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually, ensuring they can thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with qualifications equivalent to GCSE/NVQ Level 2 in English and Mathematics.
  • A relevant Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, Childcare, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent IT skills and confidence in using a range of educational software and digital tools.
  • The ability to work constructively, flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and their own position within these.
  • The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality and a commitment to maintaining both.
  • A calm, patient, approachable and resilient nature.
  • The ability to speak Welsh would be desirable and candidates who can support pupils through the medium of Welsh, or who are willing to develop their Welsh language skills, are encouraged to apply.
