The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Carmarthenshire. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the County's schools to ensure people can live and work in a clean and safe environment. The role would be term time cleaning with additional holiday cleaning of up to 10 days. The hours will be dependent on the contract that each school has signed up to.
Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring that all areas are spotless and free of clutter. Duties include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and emptying waste bins as well as replenishing consumable items and deep cleaning as required. You will be responsible for using cleaning equipment, machinery, and chemicals, following health and safety guidance.
You will also need:
- A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other cleaning requirements.
DBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
Welsh language level - verbal: Level 1 - You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
