Are you passionate about helping learners succeed and delivering excellent customer service? Cardiff and Vale College is looking for a Success Centre Assistant to join our Learner Journey team. Our Success Centres are vibrant learning spaces that provide students and staff with access to resources, technology and support to help them achieve their goals. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the learner experience, supporting students throughout their educational journey while promoting the use of digital technologies and learning resources across the College.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the day‑to‑day operation of our Success Centres, helping learners and staff access a wide range of resources, facilities and digital tools.
  • Provide a welcoming and professional service, assist with enquiries, promote learning technologies and contribute to creating an engaging environment that supports learner success.
  • Support activities that encourage reading, digital engagement and independent learning while helping to ensure our Success Centres remain effective, inclusive and learner‑focused spaces.

About You

  • Organised, proactive and customer‑focused individual who enjoys working with people and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience in a customer‑facing environment and confidence using digital technologies and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and build positive relationships with learners, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A passion for supporting learners and helping others make the most of available resources.

The closing date for completed applications is 27th August 2026 at 11:59pm. Employment with Cardiff and Vale College is also subject to satisfactory references. Before employment can commence, the College must receive two references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer. Referees will be contacted following appointment. All vacancies are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Employment cannot commence until a satisfactory and up-to-date DBS check has been received.
