Salary banding: £25,704 - £26,780
Location: Itec House (CF11 8TT, Onsite).
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role
We're looking for a creative and organised Marketing Assistant to join our team and create engaging email marketing campaigns and multi-channel content to showcase the success of the people and communities we support every day while inspiring new customers.
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll play a key role in sharing stories that inspire learners, engage employers and strengthen the impact of our programmes.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll contribute to campaigns that promote apprenticeships, employability programmes and commercial training opportunities, helping us connect with new audiences and make a genuine difference.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven marketing experience who wants to enhance and broaden their marketing skills in an employee-owned organisation.
Your Impact
Plan, create and deliver engaging marketing campaigns to support revenue generation, organisational objectives and promote services, events and initiatives.
Manage email marketing platforms, audience segmentation and databases, ensuring communications are targeted, effective and compliant with GDPR requirements.
Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, using insights and best practice to optimise future marketing (e.g. email marketing) activity.
Assisting in conducting market research to identify trends, competitor activities and potential opportunities.
Contributing to the researching, writing and editing of case studies that highlight success, demonstrating the effectiveness of our products through liaising with internal departments to obtain good news stories and staff achievements.
Assisting with the planning and organisation of events and attend relevant events to promote Itec as and when required.
Assisting in the planning, execution and monitoring of marketing campaigns. Coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Proven marketing experience
- Full driver’s license with use of own vehicle
- Email marketing skills, including campaign creation, scheduling and distribution
- Ability to create engaging email content and calls to action
- Experience with audience segmentation and email list management
- Ability to monitor, analyse and report on email campaign performance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- Digital design skills
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms and best practice
- Knowledge of audience segmentation, automation and customer journey mapping
Desirable
- CIM qualifications or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Salesforce/other CRM systems
- Working knowledge of WordPress
- Welsh Language skills
