Cardiff and Vale College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Tutor/Lecturer to join our Health & Care team.
This exciting opportunity is suitable for a lecturer who can teach across a range of Health & Social Care and Childcare programmes from Levels 1 to 4. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress successfully into further study or employment.
The role involves teaching across a number of College and community-based locations within the Cardiff and Vale area and may include some evening and weekend working.
What You'll Do
You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess and monitor learner progress, provide academic and pastoral support, and contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities. You will also undertake the administrative responsibilities associated with teaching, maintain accurate learner records, participate in team activities, and support curriculum promotion and recruitment.
About You
We are looking for a passionate educator with excellent communication and organisational skills who is committed to learner success.
You will hold a relevant Degree or HND and either hold a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, or be willing to work towards achieving one. You will have experience teaching learners across a range of levels and be able to work effectively as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a proactive and learner-centred approach.
Relevant vocational experience within Health & Social Care, Childcare or a related field would be advantageous, as would the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh.
