Support learners with essential skills, study skills and wellbeing needs, enabling them to complete their journey through college and progress to further study or employment.
The role involves providing high-quality one-to-one and group support, while working collaboratively with curriculum teams to improve learner engagement, retention and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to learners in literacy, numeracy, digital skills, ESOL, study skills and wellbeing.
- Deliver targeted sessions and one-to-one support in a variety of settings, including classrooms and drop-in sessions.
- Monitor and track learner progress, supporting those at risk of disengagement.
- Support the delivery and administration of the Wales Essential Skills Toolkit (WEST).
- Provide wellbeing support, including responding to safeguarding concerns and supporting vulnerable learners.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and external agencies to support learner success.
- Contribute to student engagement activities, KPI targets and continuous improvement.

- You have experience of working in a support, pastoral or skills-focused role.
- You are organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
