The Health & Social Care Assessor will facilitate high-quality training, assessment and workshops to support learners to achieve their Health & Social Care Apprenticeship qualifications, including wider framework requirements such as Essential Skills Wales.
The role requires a learner-centred approach, working closely with learners and employers to provide meaningful workplace learning and support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for their role. The post holder will deliver tailored learning up to Level 5 through workplace visits and virtual sessions, develop and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), monitor progress and provide appropriate support throughout the learner journey.

This is a field-based role covering Powys, requiring regular travel to learners and employers. The post holder will be expected to organise their workload effectively, manage a personal caseload and diary, meet required timescales and maintain high standards of delivery, quality and compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years occupational experience of working in a senior role with Health & Social Care Setting
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Minimum Level 3 occupational based qualification or equivalent (Health & Social Care)
- Good level of IT, literacy and numeracy
- Assessor qualification (or willing to work towards)

Personal Qualities
- A positive & optimistic attitude
- Someone who understands the need to build a good rapport with learner and employer
