The Governing Body wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) to lead our Nursery provision and join our dedicated and supportive team.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about giving our youngest learners the very best start to their education.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, planning and delivery of high-quality Nursery provision, working closely with senior leaders and other members of the Early Years team.

The post holder will create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, investigate, communicate, take appropriate risks, develop independence and follow their own interests.

  • HLTA status or an appropriate Level 4 qualification
  • Significant experience of working with children in the Early Years/Nursery age range
  • A secure knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings in Wales
  • A thorough understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
  • The ability to lead, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality Nursery provision
  • A strong understanding of the importance of play and play-based learning
  • An enthusiasm for providing high-quality outdoor learning experiences
  • The ability to create and maintain stimulating and effective indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • The ability to establish positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and carers
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues, senior leaders and other professionals
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to meet the needs of all learners, including children with Additional Learning Needs
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and children's wellbeing
  • High expectations for every child and a genuine passion for Early Years education
