Ysgol Greenhill is an 11 to 19 comprehensive school that serves the historic walled town of Tenby and surrounding areas. Based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the school aims to provide a caring, inclusive and welcoming environment where pupils and staff uphold strong values and ethos.
Responsibilities
- Teach Design Technology to Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9
- Teach KS4 Construction and Engineering
- Teach KS5 Construction and Engineering
- Be innovative, creative and have high expectations for all pupils
- Contribute to the delivery of the Expressive Arts AoLE and related curriculum areas
About the Department and Curriculum
Design Technology sits within the Expressive Arts AoLE at Greenhill. The AoLE offers a progressive curriculum including Construction, Design Technology, Music, Hospitality and Catering, and Performing Arts up to GCSE level, with expanding sixth form provision in Art, Photography, Textiles, and Engineering. The school has three fully-equipped workshops with a range of machinery and tools, including CAM machines, 3D printers and a laser cutter, supporting CAD/CAM activities. A Construction space is equipped for practical learning with carpentry, electrical work and an outdoor bricklaying area.
