Dylan Thomas is a rapidly growing and successful school with committed staff which has seen a dramatic increase in pupil numbers and significant investment in facilities over the last three years. The school is oversubscribed in nearly all year groups. We have high expectations of all members of our school community with an emphasis on strong relationships and inclusivity.
RoleGovernors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the inclusion and integration of children with additional educational needs (ALN) in a variety of provisions across the school from mainstream to Special Teaching Facilities.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with ALN inside and outside the classroom, under the direction of the ALNCo.
- Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school and be an integral part of school life.
- Develop effective working relationships with pupils and parents and demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Dedication to furthering pupils’ learning and development with the ability to use initiative and creativity.
- Ability to relate well to young people and work with empathy and interest in supporting pupils with ALN.
