Dylan Thomas is a rapidly growing and successful school with committed staff which has seen a dramatic increase in pupil numbers and significant investment in facilities over the last three years. RoleGovernors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the inclusion and integration of children with additional educational needs (ALN) in a variety of provisions across the school from mainstream to Special Teaching Facilities.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with ALN inside and outside the classroom, under the direction of the ALNCo.
- Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school and be an integral part of school life.
- Develop effective working relationships with pupils and parents and demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Dedication to furthering pupils’ learning and development with the ability to use initiative and creativity.
- Ability to relate well to young people and work with empathy and interest in supporting pupils with ALN.
