Danygraig Primary School wishes to appoint two Temporary Teaching Assistants for 27.5 hours per week, with the possibility of an additional 2.5-hour Lunchtime Supervisor role.
1 post is in our Specialist Teaching Facility (STF) supporting learners with severe learning difficulties. 1 post is in our Foundation Phase department. This post requires someone who:
- Ideally has experience of working in a primary school or childcare setting or has relevant experience of working with young people with additional learning needs (ALN).
- Holds relevant qualifications, eg. GCSEs, or NVQ or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Has excellent Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills.
- Is passionate about working with children to support them to achieve their potential.
- Has excellent communication skills and is able to nurture, support, challenge and inspire our children.
- Is able to support the planning and delivery of high quality, authentic and purposeful learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors.
- Is able to support pupils for whom English is an Additional Language.
- Works individually and as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
- Supports the life of the school and the wider community.
