Overview

Job description: As and When Needed • Term Time

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services have a variety of opportunities for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant across their service and would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
  • Provide a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
  • Lay out dining tables and chairs.
  • In some schools, operate a touch screen terminal; training will be provided on start.

Requirements and Training

  • Cover at schools across the County Borough is a requirement of the role.
  • Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate; training will be provided if necessary to help you obtain this.

Working Hours

  • Working hours will be confirmed upon appointment but will be between 10.00am and 2.30pm, to support the mid-morning break and lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday, term time only.
