Salary: £28,725 – £31,176 per annum An exciting vacancy is available as a Purchasing Officer in the Finance department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the One Canal Parade location. Responsibilities include: Process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Making sure the coding/values/vat/supplier are all correct. Reconcile all supplier statements. Complete the weekly payment run for CAVC and its subsidiaries plus any ad-hoc payment requests as needed. Ensure all queries are dealt with and resolved to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Ensure the YOOZ and OA supplier data is accurate and always up to date. Management of the accounts payable mailbox. Processing/matching cashbook entries from the bank daily, liaising with the cash and banking officer to ensure our banks are reconciled. Procurement admin including sending PO\’s and placing online orders for budget holders. Manage the end-to-end admin of the Amazon and Lyreco portals to ensure orders are placed and approved in a timely manner Building relationships with suppliers by providing excellent customer service Assisting with coding the department credit card Identify new ways of working to improve efficiency/output and ensure processes work well. Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
