The School of Creative and Technical Studies is seeking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and self‑motivated Welding Technician. Working as part of a team you will provide a wide range of duties to support delivery and assessment to a wide range of practical provision.

A qualification of NVQ level 3 or higher and experience in Welding would be required. The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable. Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.

The College is committed to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people. Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) if appropriate. Please note that successful candidates will be expected to pay for the Enhanced Disclosure and registration with the Education Workforce Council.

Lecturing posts will require a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or the willingness to attain one within a specified period of time. This will be a requirement under your contract of employment and EWC registration.
