Merthyr Tydfil College are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join its Estates and Facilities team. The main purpose of the post is to ensure a safe, secure, welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors by providing a visible security presence on campus and a duty of care to our learners, acting positively as a deterrent to inappropriate and undesirable behaviour.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible security presence on campus during core business hours (Monday to Friday).
- Provide duty of care to learners and staff.
- Act as a deterrent to inappropriate and undesirable behaviour.
- Work a 1-week in 5 out-of-hours on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours duties with advance notice.
- Promote the College values of Professional, Inspiring, Collaborative and Supportive.
Requirements:
- Experience in a security role, ideally in a corporate or business-type environment.
- A DBS check is required.
