Educational Psychologist – permanent full-time post to commence in September 2026. This post is also open to year 2 trainees on the DEdPsy (Doctorate) programme, in which case a starting date of September 2027 would be agreed.
Salary: £45,586 - £55,974 on the Soulbury A Scale 2-7 Plus 3 SPA. Pembrokeshire County Council will honour a starting salary at Scale 3.
About Pembrokeshire Educational Psychology
Pembrokeshire is one of Britain’s special places, combining coastal scenery with a unique cultural heritage. The Pembrokeshire Educational Psychology team focuses on the development, learning, achievement and wellbeing of children and young people. Members work with children and young people, staff of pre-school settings and schools, and with parents/carers and professional colleagues to bring about positive change. We are part of the Inclusion Service, working with advisory teachers, behaviour support, ASD outreach, the children’s disabilities team and colleagues from social care and health to improve outcomes across Pembrokeshire.
We welcome expressions of interest from experienced Educational Psychologists as well as those who are currently in Year 2 or 3 of the DEdPsy (Doctorate) programme. There is flexibility to accommodate those interested in part-time work. We are happy to discuss any specialisms you are interested in.
Responsibilities
- Work with young people, staff of pre-school settings and schools, and with parents/carers and professional colleagues to bring about positive change for children and young people.
- Collaborate as part of the Inclusion Service, with advisory teachers, behaviour support, ASD outreach, and the children’s disabilities team to improve outcomes.
- Engage in professional duties in line with HCPC standards and Pembrokeshire County Council policies.
Qualifications
- All applicants must be professionally qualified and HCPC registered.
