Come and join our team! If you are passionate about cooking and have a good work ethic, we would love to hear from you because our busy team requires a Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained and providing excellent customer service to our pupils and staff.
This post is for 33.75 hours per week / 6.75 hours per day. Hourly rate is £13.79-14.32. Working hours are Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks), ideal to fit around family commitments and other roles we offer. We offer an 'annualised' pay scheme so that our staff who work term time receive pay over 52 weeks. The Candidate:
- The ability to run an efficient kitchen to include the preparation and serving of nutritious and appetising meals.
- Experience in maintaining hygiene standards in kitchens.
- The ability to provide varied meals for a range of special diets.
- The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
- Good communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to complete all required paperwork when running an efficient kitchen to include the ordering and management of stock.
You will need:
- A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
- A food hygiene certificate and previous experience in a catering or hospitality role. This would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other duties.
