Job Title: Lecturer in Plumbing

  • Salary: £25,374 – £49,937 per annum (dependent on experience)

Cardiff and Vale College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Plumbing. The successful candidate will be able to deliver and assess courses at different levels:

  • Plumbing Level 1, Level 2 (Full Time)
  • Plumbing Level 2 and Level 3 (Part Time Apprentices)

The role involves pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorials, and marking. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conducting student assessments to place students, monitor progress, and identify learning support needs.
  • Providing student support to meet academic and welfare needs, with proper record-keeping.
  • Participating in course evaluation and curriculum development.
  • Involvement in marketing activities, including identifying consumer requirements, creating publicity materials, and collaborating with external agencies.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable for this post.

The ideal candidate will hold a vocational qualification in Plumbing at Level 3 and have relevant domestic experience. Industrial or commercial experience is desirable. Candidates should also hold or be willing to obtain a relevant teaching qualification and assessor qualification. Qualifications in Renewable Technologies are also desirable.
