The Head Teacher and Management Committee are seeking to appoint 2 Learning Support Assistants to join our team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicants must support a positive, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to meet their potential.
1 Open Ended Position and 1 Fixed Term Position. These posts are linked to pupils who receive additional one to one funding. As such, the positions will continue for as long as the associated funding remains in place. One of the roles is also to cover a period of maternity leave. Grade 3 - £24,796 for 30 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £17,660.20 pro rata.
Responsibilities
- You will be working under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Classroom Teacher.
- You will provide support as a member of a team, or individually, for pupils.
- This will take the form of assisting the Class Teacher through participation in class/group/individual lessons.
- You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of materials and displays, clear away resources as required, and contribute to the delivery of individual development plans (IDPs) under the direction of the Class Teacher.
- A good standard of education, an understanding of child development, together with excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Qualifications & Requirements
- You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) for this post.
