Overall job purpose: To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required by the professional standards for teachers as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Headteacher. To be responsible for the learning and achievement of pupils and ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for ensuring the highest possible standards of teaching and learning in each department, in accordance with the vision of the Governing Body.
- Support the teachers in the department.
- To be included as a step on the whole school complaints procedure, if a teacher is unable to satisfy or solve a complaint.
- As 'Middle Leaders', support the Senior Leaders in their day-to-day work.
- As a member of the 'Management Team', contribute significantly towards the school's strategic direction.
- Perform the classroom teacher role effectively.
- Lead the collaboration and drive developments as a member of the 'Area of Learning and Experience Team', when deemed necessary.

Hours: Full time
Grade: Teachers Pay Scale (£33,731 - £51,942 per year) + TLR2c Allowance (£3,590 per year)
