The Governing Body of Ysgol Penygelli would like to invite serving Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher at the school.

We have well-motivated pupils, dedicated staff, supportive parents, an active PTA and a committed and active governing body.

The school is in Coedpoeth, which is c.1.5 miles from junction 4 of the A483.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, visionary Headteacher with excellent leadership skills, the commitment and drive to maintain high standards and high levels of achievement.

The successful candidate should:

1. demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership
2. build on the strengths of our school
3. model and inspire excellent classroom practice across the school and maintain a strong passion for teaching and learning
4. motivate and inspire all pupils and staff in the school community
5. possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders
6. develop each child\’s full potential in all aspects of school life
7. show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice
8. create an environment which secures effective learning for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.

The Governing Body will consider exercising its rights to appoint the successful candidate at a point in the salary range appropriate to their skills and expertise, in accordance with the STPCD.
