Education Improvement Service Officer – Secondary Schools (Literacy)
Salary: Soulbury 13-16 (+ 3 SPA)

Conwy and Denbighshire\’s Education Services are seeking experienced education practitioners to join their Education Improvement Services to support and ensure the highest quality of education for all young people in Conwy and Denbighshire\’s secondary schools.
The role involves working with secondary school leaders and staff to develop and implement strategies to improve literacy skills across the 11-16 curriculum, as well as supporting the leadership and teaching of English and English Literature at Key Stage 4 across the regions.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position aimed at enhancing the Education Improvement Service during a period of transformation and development. The service is committed to providing bilingual support and challenge to improve attainment and experiences of children and young people in our schools and settings. We welcome innovative, solution-focused colleagues to join us.
To succeed, you should possess the skills and expertise to lead and support statutory and non-statutory aspects of education, ensuring secondary schools receive high-quality support to make ongoing progress. You will collaborate with schools, settings, stakeholders, and Local Authority officers to gather information, share insights, and deliver improvements for children and young people in Conwy and Denbighshire.
Fluent Welsh communication skills are essential for this role.
The position is remunerated on the Soulbury Education Improvement Professional scale. Applications are encouraged from experienced school leaders with a successful track record in managing education interventions, whether in school settings or within Local Authorities or Regional Consortia.
