Llangewydd Junior School is situated in Bridgend and part of the Bryntirion Cluster of schools. There are 343 pupils on roll aged between seven and eleven years. The school has 12 mainstream classes and 2 ALN classes.
The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and conscientious cover supervisor to work in a highly motivated, friendly teaching team. The successful candidate will:
- Provide continuation of learning for pupils through the delivery of pre-prepared lessons across the school.
- Be able to work in close partnership with teaching and support staff.
- Maintain the classroom environment in an orderly and purposeful manner.
- Follow the school's behaviour policy.
- Have a good knowledge of primary practice in order to contribute to the evaluation of learning.
- Have a good understanding of additional learning needs and promote inclusion.
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil achievement, progress and challenges.
- Be highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be dedicated to their own professional development and school improvement.
- Be able to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.
- Be prepared to undertake break duties.
You will be qualified to at least NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and have good experience of working with children in a school environment.
