INTERNAL JOB. This vacancy is only available to Torfaen County Borough Council (TCBC) employees and agency workers currently engaged with TCBC.

The Early Years Team has a great opportunity for a full-time Childcare Development Officer to join the Childcare Team. We are looking for a suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic Officer who will be responsible for supporting all childcare within Torfaen by providing a highly professional service.

The post holder must have a relevant qualification in Level 3 or 4 in Early Years, Childcare, or Playwork, and/or a degree in Early Years Education, Play, or Community Development, or equivalent experience.

You will need knowledge and understanding of private, voluntary, and public sector childcare services and have experience in setting up and developing services in accordance with National Minimum Standards and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
