Catering Assistant – Bro Dinefwr Secondary School

Salary: £25,390 per annum (pro‑rated at £13.16 per hour for 26.25 hours per week).

About the vacancy

  • Contract type: Permanent Term, only during the term time (38 weeks)
  • Location: Llandeilo
  • Hours: 26.25 hours per week, 5.25 hours per day (Monday to Friday)

Job responsibilities

You will assist our Cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals, ensuring compliance with all aspects of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety. Other duties include setting up and clearing tables and general cleaning responsibilities.

Qualifications and skills

  • Ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety (not essential – full training will be provided).
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist with other catering duties.
