Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Working closely with class teachers, therapists and senior leaders to deliver personalised learning
- Implementing and reviewing EHCP targets and behaviour support plans
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Acting as a senior member of support staff, offering guidance and support to other TAs where required
- Creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Has significant experience working in an SEN school or SEN provision
- Strong understanding of EHCPs, early intervention and child development
- Confident supporting children with ASD, communication needs, sensory needs and challenging behaviour
- Calm, resilient and patient with a proactive approach
- Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willing to take on additional responsibility as a senior TA
