Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Working closely with class teachers, therapists and senior leaders to deliver personalised learning
  • Implementing and reviewing EHCP targets and behaviour support plans
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
  • Acting as a senior member of support staff, offering guidance and support to other TAs where required
  • Creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment

Qualifications

  • Has significant experience working in an SEN school or SEN provision
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs, early intervention and child development
  • Confident supporting children with ASD, communication needs, sensory needs and challenging behaviour
  • Calm, resilient and patient with a proactive approach
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Willing to take on additional responsibility as a senior TA
