Pastoral Manager / Pastoral Lead – Full Time – Bradford – September Start

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a Pastoral Manager / Pastoral Lead for a full-time, long-term role starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional to take a leading role in supporting student welfare, behaviour, and engagement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student development, able to build strong relationships, and confident working with young people facing a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Role Overview

  • Full-time, long-term position starting September
  • Oversee pastoral provision and student welfare across a year group or key stage
  • Lead on behaviour management strategies and attendance monitoring
  • Liaise with SLT, teachers, parents, and external agencies
  • Safeguarding responsibilities and supporting SEMH needs

What We\’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or inclusion role within a school setting
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (essential)
  • Ability to remain calm, resilient, and supportive in a busy school environment
