Join us in pursuit of a key aim captured within our motto- ‘for the promotion of sound learning’- in this role within our small professional learning team. In this post you will contribute to the promotion of quality, equitable CPD opportunities for Scotland’s teachers and lecturers and be closely involved in the planning, organisation and promotion of major national professional learning events and the promotion of these to EIS members.

You will also be responsible for the recruitment, retention and the provision of support to accredited EIS Learning Representatives across Scotland and will attend and provide administrative services to the Institute’s CPD Sub-Committee.

Applications from candidates with a background in education are particularly welcome, as are those from candidates with previous or current involvement in a trade union. This post will be based in the EIS HQ in central Edinburgh. However, the Institute has a Flexible Working Patterns policy, offering all members of staff a high degree of flexibility over the location at which work is carried out, subject to the overall requirements of the EIS and its members.
