The Role

Education World are recruiting flexible and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary and SEND schools across Derby. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, adapt quickly to new settings, and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Work is available immediately, with opportunities to choose the days that suit your schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
  • Confidence working with SEN pupils (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and support classroom routines
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour support skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support to teachers across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Deliver 1:1 or small-group support where required
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour routines
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and expectations
