School HR Administrator to join the central Human Resources team of a well-established education trust in Redbridge.

The trust is responsible for supporting a number of successful schools across the local area and has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality education while investing in the development and wellbeing of its staff.
Working within the central HR team, you will play an integral role in supporting schools across the trust by delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
As a
School HR Administrator , you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of HR functions, ensuring recruitment, compliance, payroll, and employee records are managed efficiently while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity , offering an excellent pathway into a long-term HR career within education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the central HR team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction processes.
- Process pre-employment checks, including references, Enhanced DBS checks, Right to Work documentation, and qualification verification.
- Maintain an accurate and compliant
Single Central Record (SCR) .
- Create, update, and maintain confidential personnel files and HR databases.
- Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from staff and managers.
- Prepare contracts, contract amendments, maternity and paternity documentation, and other HR correspondence.
- Monitor probation periods and liaise with managers regarding review documentation.
- Record and monitor staff absence, return-to-work documentation, and associated HR processes.
- Support payroll administration by ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
- Assist with the completion of the School Workforce Census and HR reporting.
- Work collaboratively with payroll, finance, and wider central support teams.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and trust policies are followed at all times.
Essential Criteria
- Previous HR administration experience or strong administrative experience within a professional environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining confidential records and electronic filing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, approachable, and proactive attitude.
- Confidence communicating with colleagues, managers, and external stakeholders.

- Preferred Criteria
- Previous experience working within a school, academy trust, or education setting .
- Knowledge of safer recruitment ,
- Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) , and the
Single Central Record (SCR) .
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Knowledge of payroll administration and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience producing reports and maintaining HR systems.
- An interest in developing a long-term career within Human Resources.
