We are working alongside a well established fabrication company in the Newton Aycliffe area who are seeking dedicated and proficient platers looking to fill night shift positions, initially starting on days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plating tasks on structural steel components.
- Reading engineering drawings.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate techniques.
- Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel plater or similar role.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be expected to undertake a plate test if successful for an interview. Working 42 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
