The Role: SENDCo – Maternity Cover (Part-Time) | Location: Nottingham | Start Date: ASAP | Contract Type: Long-term maternity cover (likely until December) | Working Pattern: 3 days per week (flexible on days) | Pay Scale: £190-250 per day | Role Type: Non-class based.

We are urgently seeking an experienced SENDCo to join a welcoming and supportive school on a long-term maternity cover basis. This is a non-class-based role, working three days per week, with flexibility around which days are worked. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive the support they require to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee SEND provision across the school
  • Manage and review EHCPs and SEND support plans
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies
  • Support staff with SEND strategies and best practice
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and guidance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified and experienced SENDCo (NASENCo essential)
  • Strong knowledge of SEND processes, EHCPs, and statutory requirements
  • Confident communicator with parents and professionals
  • Able to work independently and hit the ground running
  • Available for a long-term maternity cover commitment
