We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Cook to join a welcoming primary school in Morpeth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled catering professional who takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for children in a school environment.
As a School Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals within a busy school kitchen, ensuring all food is produced to a high standard and meets dietary and hygiene requirements. The successful School Cook will play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of pupils through well-balanced school meals.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 10:00 – 13:45 (Part-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals as a School Cook in line with school menu requirements.
- Ensure food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage food preparation, portion control, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety procedures.
- Support stock control, ordering, and food storage management.
